Am I the only one???!

This thanksgiving….. At what I thought was going to be a regular family gathering where my grandparents prepare some Chinese take out food and desserts from Costco, my aunt actually had a totally different plan for this year’s thanksgiving dinner. She had actually go out of her way and prepared a traditional turkey with cranberry sauce, the other traditional side dishes, and of course she also baked a pumpkin pie. Not knowing how I felt about trying out the pie, I was not given any choice by my strict grandparents so I had to try it. It was god awful. Great pie by all means, I could tell that my aunt did a great job but I have also confirmed that I am not a fan of pumpkin spice once again. Am I the only one who hates pumpkin spice??!

Earlier this week I was bored at home with a box of brownie mix and a block of cream cheese that was about to expire so I decided to try out something fun! brownie cheesecake!

First mix the brownie mixture following the instructions given on the brownie box and pure most that mixture into a brownie baking pan, reserve about 1/3-¼ cup of the brownie mixture for later!

Moving on to the cheesecake portion! ingredients needed include:
8 oz cream cheese, softened
¼ cup sugar
1 egg
½ tsp vanilla extract

PREHEAT THE OVEN TO 350F!

Now mix together all the cheesecake ingredients until smooth. Pour it on top of the brownie mixture inside of the pan. Dollop the reserved brownie batter on top of the cheesecake in random patterns, and use toothpick to swirl out the marble design. Once you’re happy with how it looks, bake it for around 30-40 minutes or until it doesn’t stick to a toothpick when you poke through it.

Lastly, let it cool for 20-30mins and cut and serve! Here are some pictures of my finished brownie!
